Bike Trails in Brookhaven are Maintained by C.L.I.M.B.

Concerned Long Island Mountain Bicyclists (C.L.I.M.B.) was established in 1990 as a non-profit advocacy organization dedicated to the growth and safe enjoyment of mountain bicycling. We promote a strong relationship between recreation and conservation by educating the mountain bicycling community on environmentally sound and socially responsible trail use.

Cathedral Pines

Beginner to intermediate single track. 6-mile beginner loop with additional 5½ miles of optional advanced hill climbs.

Directions: Take 495 East to Exit 66 sills Rd (Patchogue Yaphank Rd), bear left at Expressway Dr South (service road). Turn left at Patchogue Yaphank Rd. Bear right at Mill Rd. Bear left at Yaphank-Middle Island Rd. Look for park entrance on left. $2.00 parking fee with green key, $4.00 without green key.

This property features a nine-mile mountain bike trail through 316 acres of oak-pine woods and open fields. Seasonal hiking and hunting are also available. Trail access is from County Road 51 (Moriches-Riverhead Road) immediately north of County Road 111.

Directions: Take 495 to Exit 70 South, R111. Take R111 to East Moriches / Riverhead Rd East. Make a U-turn at the first cross-over on the left. Parking lot is on the right, before the overpass.

Managed by the NYS DEC, permit required.

East Setauket

Intermediate to advanced with 6 miles of optional diamond loops, featuring difficult hill climbs.

Directions: Take 495 to exit 62 Nichols Rd north. Make a right at 347 going east. Make a left onto Belle Meade Rd. Look for trail entrance on right 100 yards after Island Storage Center at 171 Belle Meade Rd. Park along side of road.

Glacier Ridge Nature Preserve

Intermediate to advanced 8.5 mile single track with two optional diamond loops and fire roads.

Directions: Take 495 to Exit 63 Ocean Ave. (North), follow to Bicycle Path Road and make a right, go to Independance Hill Drive and make a left (Town of Brookhaven Town Hall), go to the end and park near the windmill, trail entrance is to the left of the low white building (mulched path leads to trail head/kiosk).

Rocky Point

Intermediate to advanced 13+ mile single track with seven miles of additional challenging hills. Several miles of separate beginner trail also available.

Directions: Main parking lot: Take 495 to Exit 68, William Floyd Parkway North. Turn left on Whiskey Road. Turn right on Rocky Point Road. Parking lot is on the left.

Manorville Hills

Intermediate to advanced 12+ miles with many hill climbs and no flat areas. The trail is two-way for 3.3 miles to a one-way loop. If you find your in over your head, turn around and go back before entering one-way loop. Option to ride to the easier Eastport trails for added miles.

Directions: LIE to exit 70 and head south on CR 111. You will see a sign for Hotwater St. on your right but you are making a left at the u-turn lane the entrance is on the northbound lane of CR 111. You will see the sign for Manorville Hills County Park on the right, take the gravel road to the parking lot. Once you are in the small gravel parking lot, you will see a sign for the mountain bike trail head, follow the blue blazes.
